Using altmetric and bibliometric indicators to measure scientific productivity in the life and earth sciences: a case study from Haiti
The emergence of scientometric methods for measuring the visibility and impact of scientific output has led to growing competition between researchers, universities and scientific journals for the best rankings.
These methods include the H-index and Almetrics, which award scores according to publication platform or number of citations. In Haiti, this study will look at the case of Quisqueya University to evaluate the number of publications and their measurement.
